If you’re looking for counselling with Amy Gordichuk - you’ve come to the right place! I strive to create an environment that is judgment-free, sex and pleasure-positive, trauma-informed, kink-aware, and ethical non-monogamous-affirming. I welcome 2S/LGBTQ+ clients and folks of all backgrounds wanting to expand their experience and understanding of sexuality and/or gender.

  • I’m not currently offering in-person appointments, but I would be happy to meet with you virtually, either over the phone or via secure video conferencing.

Hello, I’m Amy!

I recognize that talking about sex isn’t always easy, which is a big reason why I decided to specialize in sex therapy in the first place! SO many of us have been taught unhelpful societal beliefs that confine and limit our sexual exploration and experiences. But I deeply believe that we all need and deserve a pleasure. So I’m here to provide a relaxed, open space where you can be honest about your sexual questions, needs, and wants without fear of judgment.

I’m registered with both the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (RCT-C) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC), which allows me to work with clients located across Canada (excluding Quebec). I started my counselling practice on the traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations (Victoria, British Columbia), but am currently living in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia).

I strive to create a safe, accessible environment that is judgment-free, sex-positive, kink-aware, and ethical non-monogamous-affirming. I welcome 2S/LGBTQ+ clients and folks of all backgrounds who are looking to shed shame, expand their experience of sexuality and/or gender norms, and create new sexual possibilities. I would like to acknowledge that my position as a white, able-bodied, cisgender woman gives me immense privilege and shapes how I navigate this world. I commit to reflecting on my behaviour and my practice each day to ensure I am being actively anti-racist and de-colonial.

As an uninvited settler, I am deeply grateful to live, work, and play across many traditional and unceded territories covering Turtle Island. I currently reside in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. I also recognize that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and I honour and extend gratitude to those ancestors, along with the 50 African Nova Scotian communities throughout the region today. As my clients are located throughout Canada, I would also like to respectfully acknowledge that my work extends across the territories of many diverse First Nations.
